The Asia Pacific Language Center (APLC) is the English Language wing of Asia Pacific University in Malaysia.

The Intensive English Program at APLC is spread across 7 levels, teaching students every aspect of English language from basics and fundamentals to advanced courses. Students are placed in any of the below-mentioned levels based on the scores obtained at the APU English competency test.

Level Starter – Basic

Level 1 – Beginner

Level 2 – Elementary

Level 3 – Pre – Intermediary

Level 4 – Intermediate

Level 5 – Upper Intermediate

Level 6 – Advanced

Course Structure

Special emphasis is given to specific skills in each of these 7 levels, namely,

Level Starter – This course is for students who have zero or no competency in English. The course includes Reading & Writing (RW), Speaking & Listening (SSP), Grammar (GRM) and Vocabulary enhancement (VE).

Level 1-6 – These levels have grammar incorporated in them. Emphasis is given on Reading and Writing (RW) and Speaking & Listening (SSP).

Modules

There are 4 modules i.e. Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking
Classes are held 4 hours in a day
There is an Online English module of 2 hours daily
The total learning hours are of 102 hours
