Hospitality & Tourism Management

What will you learn?

Tourism is the world’s biggest and fastest growing industry. The travel and hospitality industry today constitutes 10% of the world’s GDP and accounts for 10% of global employment levels, while in most developed countries tourism comprises 10% of overall exports. It is a major source of foreign exchange earnings and employment.

Tourism sustains many economies because of the revenue generated by the consumption of goods and services by tourists, the taxes levied on businesses and the limitless employment opportunities in all sectors of the tourism industry. It generates enormous wealth and growth because it stimulates and impacts many sectors of the economy.

The hospitality and tourism industries are very people oriented. If interacting with new people is what you love and you take pride in making people happy, then this could be your career choice.

The Bachelor of Tourism Management (Hons) offered by HELP University is designed to produce graduates with an in-depth grasp of concepts and perspectives in the tourism industry, who are able to source, analyse and critically evaluate information on physical features, attractions and the impact of events on the environment. The programme is developed to be industry focused so that graduates can function effectively as active professionals and are able to promote tourism at different levels – local and worldwide.
