What will you learn?

Banking and Finance related to the management of money and financial instruments of an economy, especially by governmental and corporate entities. Their activities range from managing the circulation of monies, the decision making of investments, the granting of credit, the acquisition of capital, the provision of banking facilities and the management of financial institutions and financial systems.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Banking and Finance is developed to train students not only on the different operational aspects of a business entity but is also designed to equip students with specialised banking and finance knowledge and skills.

In addition, students practice with an industrial relevant tool such as SAS (Statistical Analysis System) for business analytics and intelligence, data management and predictive analytics. The combination of operational efficiency and expertise in banking and finance coupled with ability in the industrial relevant tool is a qualification that is highly sought after by many employers other than those in the banking and finance sector. 

Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Banking and Finance are eligible for certain exemptions from the professional examinations of AICB, ACCA, ICSA and FPAM. Moreover, certain higher positions in companies are required by law to be professionally qualified.

 

Eligibility:

STPM with 2 Principal PassesORA-Level with 2 Passes

OR

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects

OR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 subjects

OR

Foundation in Arts (Management and Accountancy Stream), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education

OR

Diploma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC)

OR

Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning

OR

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government

AND

A credit in 1 SPM Mathematics subject / equivalent
