What will you learn?

As English is an international language of communication, trade, research, science and technology, being proficient and competent in English is an asset to any individual in any field of work, such as law, business, commerce, politics, education and the mass media at local and international levels. 

The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English Education programme aims to provide students with the necessary communicative skills and knowledge of the language to communicate proficiently and competently, as well as to expose them to the general principles of teaching and learning of English as a second language. In particular, the programme is designed to expose students to the use of the latest technology, approaches and techniques in English Language Teaching and to equip them with the necessary skills to become effective, trained and competent English Language educators.

 

Eligibility:

STPM with 2 Principal Passes

OR

A-Level with 2 Passes

OR

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects

OR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 subjects

OR

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects

OR

Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education

OR

Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Diploma from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in the relevant field

OR

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government

AND

Passed English Language in one of the following examinations:

PM Bahasa Inggeris- Credit (3B/B+)

IELTS- Grade 6.0

TOEFL- Score of 550

English 1119/ O-Level- Credit 3B/B(3)

MUET- Band 4

UEC Bahasa Inggeris- Grade B3
