What will you learn?

In line with the ever growing media industry in Malaysia, there is a high demand for graduates specialising in the area of journalism.

This programme produces graduates with knowledge of the Chinese media industry and training in news writing, editing and production in both traditional media (print and broadcast) and new media such as online media, blogs and other social media.

The aim of the programme is to contribute to the growth of the Malaysian Chinese media industry, cultivating discussions on key issues in the public domain on democratic principles in maintaining harmony in a multi-cultural society like Malaysia.

The programme also offers lifelong learning skills that will enable students to critically, objectively and analytically address independent complex problems, issues and current affairs.

 

 

Eligibility:

STPM with 2 Principal Passes

OR

A-Level with 2 Passes

OR

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects

OR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with a minimum of 70% in 6 subjects

OR

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects

OR

Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Diploma/Foundation/Matriculation/Preparatory qualification from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Diploma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in the relevant field

OR

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government

AND

A credit in SPM / O-Level English Language / equivalent (not applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language) and Bahasa Cina / equivalent
