Smart technologies and devices are changing the way we live, work and interact with one another. The technologies have boosted the efficiency, productivity and functionality of almost anything from home to industries. The Electrical and Electronics sector has become the key driving force behind this digital revolution.

In Malaysia, the sector has contributed to 23.4% of GDP in 2019 and created more than 780,000 jobs - additional 522,000 new jobs will be created by 2020. Currently, there are around 1,900 active E&E companies in a diverse range of businesses are urgently looking for skilled manpower in the electronics engineering and technology areas.

The electronic systems' degree aims to produce technologists with in-depth knowledge and expertise in electronic technology. It equips students with a balance of theoretical and technical knowledge in smart manufacturing, loTs, AI, robotics and many more. The programme is engaged closely with the industries in curriculum development to ensure the programme fulfills the needs of the industries.

 

Eligibility:

STPM Principal Passes in Mathematics and Physics

OR

A-Level Passes in Mathematics and Physics (Grade C for Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electronic Engineering only)

OR

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in Mathematics and Physics

OR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 subjects including 2 Mathematics subjects and Physics

OR

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and Physics

OR

Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

OR

Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education in the relevant field

OR

Diploma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in the relevant field

OR

Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

OR

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
