What will you learn?

The Bachelor of Economics (BE) program was officially offered in 1995. The main objective of this program is to produce trained and quality workforce in the field of economics to meet the development and progress needs of the country

 

Eligibility:

University’s General Requirement 

Every candidate who wishes to apply for the bachelor program in FEP has to fulfill the university’s general requirement and other terms as specified by the University. 

Minimum Requirement for STPM (Higher Certificate of Education [HSE]) Candidate

i) Pass SPM (Malaysian Certificate of Education [MCE])/equivalent;
ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;

iii) Pass STPM with at least:

Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies/General Paper courses; and
- Grade C (CGPA 2.00in two (2) other courses; and

iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET). 

Minimum Requirement for Malaysian Ministry of Education Matriculation (KPM)/ UM Science Matriculation/ UTM Basic Year

i) Pass SPM/equivalent;

ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;
iii) Pass KPM (Matriculation of Education) Matriculation / UM Matriculation/ UTM Basic Year with CGPA 2.00; and

iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET). 

Minimum Requirement for Equivalent Candidate

i) Pass SPM/equivalent;

ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;
iii) Have other qualification that has been equivalently accepted by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate; and

iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Fellowships, scholarships, assistantships are usually available for postgraduate students wishing to study in Malaysia, depending either on availability within the institution and your academic qualifications. Additionally, a number of scholarships are available from other institutions and organisations, such as the Malaysian government.
