

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) programme aims to train candidates to become landscape architects who are capable and skillful in all aspects of planning, designing and managing landscapes toward establishing a quality, healthy and balance environment for human needs. The programme is comprehensively designed so as to produce students who are wellversed in their fields of specialisation through multi-disciplinary courses. UPM’s Landscape Architecture graduates are capable of facing current challenges in line with the Country's rapid development. They are sensitive and responsible in the utilisation of natural resources to meet the Country’s development needs. Graduates from this programme have found jobs in multi-national consultancy firms overseas. This professional programme is accredited by the Malaysian Public Services Department (JPA) and the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM)
Programme Outcomes Program Objectives [Educational Objectives Program (PEO)] Bachelor of Landscape Architecture is to give: i. knowledgeable, skilled, creative and innovative landscape architects in the areas of assessment, planning, design, implementation and landscape management. ii. ethical, architectural and professional landscape architects in the service of the community in terms of producing a working environment, safe and beautiful; and iii. landscape architect who is sensitive and caring for national development needs and is capable of adjusting these requirements with the limitation of nature
A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CARD STPM 1. University General Requirements a) Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination / equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia subject or credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia in July and pass in History subject; and b) Pass the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) with at least 2 PGNK and get at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in both General Studies / General Paper and Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) points other lessons; and c) Have taken the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) 2. Special Program Requirements a) Obtained at least Grade B- (2.67) in one (1) subject at the STPM level excluding General Studies subjects; and b) Obtained at least Level 2 (Band 2) in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); and c) Pass the interviews conducted by the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture.
B. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CARDS MATRICULATION / ASAS 1. University General Requirements a) Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination / equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia subject or credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia in July and pass in History subject; and b) Passed Foundation of UPM Agricultural Sciences / KPM Matriculation / Foundation of UM Science / Foundation of UiTM with at least CGPA of 2.00; and c) Have taken the Malaysian University English Test (MUET). 2.
Special Program Requirements a) Obtained at least Grade B- (CGPA 2.67) at the Matriculation / Foundation level in one (1) subject; and b) Obtained at least Level 2 (Band 2) in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); and c) Pass the interviews conducted by the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture.
