What will you learn?

Faculty of Agriculture offers two programmes for graduate studies; Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with thesis. The PhD students are required to conduct research and fulfill a minimum of 9 credits of course work. The candidates are also required to present seminars on their research. The duration of studies for PhD is 2-5 years

 

Eligibility:

Applicant must have:

  • A Master’s degree with thesis in a related field; or,
  • A Master’s degree without thesis in a related field with CGPA of at least 3.500 and at least B+ grade in the project component; or,
  • Bachelor of Science degree with First Class honors in a related field and CGPA of at least 3.750 or equivalent could be considered.

 

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 If you are non-native English speaker, you must achieve one of the formal qualifications as part of the entry requirements: 1. IELTS - 1. Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or

 2. TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or

 3. Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - enrolled at ELS-UPM - Level 109 English or Level 107 for other pro
