The Master of Architecture programme is equivalent to Part 2 of the Board of Architects Malaysia or Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) Professional Examination, and is a full-time professional Master's programme that centres on the advanced study of architecture. It takes on an integrated approach to learning architecture and adopts the teaching philosophy of 'Design as Research'. Key research areas include Community and Place, Urban Regeneration and Tropical Architecture.
Upon completion of the Master programme, students will be recognised as Graduated Architects and they could further proceed becoming a Professional Architect.
Students undertake a range of specialist and research-based studio projects supported by knowledge and application of technology and environment, culture context, research and professional practice to forge the position of "Sustaining Humanity". Utilising a design as research teaching pedagogy, the design studio forms the intersection of interests across three board domains of inquiry, i.e. urbanity, community and technology.
SPM / O Level
Students must pass SPM / O Level with 5 credits inclusive English and Mathematics with a pass in Bahasa Melayu and History in SPM.
Interview & Review
Pass interview which includes review of Design Portfolio and Personal Statement.

Student must obtain LAM Part 1 exemption or recognition prior to joining the programme.

Any other qualifications recognised by the Board of Architects Malaysia and Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.
Practical Experience
Min. six (6) months practical experience after graduating from the first stage of architectural education at a registered architect’s office, approved architectural related organization or practice within the building industry.* As evidence, students are to provide a reference letter from the company that clearly indicates the duration of work experience, supported by a company profile, and portfolio of their practical experience. * The list of registered architect office, approved architectural related organisation or practice within the building industry can be obtained from the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) website.
Other Qualifications
Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
