The Foundation Program is designed for students who have successfully completed their O-Level, SPM or equivalent. It prepares students Program, admission to degree programs. The Foundation Program is a complete academic program that provides students the basic knowledge and necessary skills relevant to the respective degree programs in engineering and technology.
Candidates selected for this program must undergo and pass the Foundation Studies in UTP before furthering a course in the Bachelors Degree program.

Academic Requirement:
O-Level or equivalent
Pass O-Level with at least five (5) Credits (Grade C) inclusive of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, AND any two (2) other subjects.
AND additional requirement for international students:-
English Requirement:
IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL paper base score 550 or equivalent.
English Placement Test (EPT) will be conducted to assess the applicant’s level of English proficiency. In some cases, students will be required to enrol for the Intensive English Class Course at UTP before proceeding to Foundation Program.

The university will assist students in applying for financial aids, sponsorships and educational loans for their studies from various sources, including PTPTN, MARA, JPA, state foundations, and corporate companies.
